The V3100 SOTDMA Class B AIS is designed to provide reliable, frequent position updates in high-traffic areas. Using the same SOTDMA technology as Class A AIS systems, it transmits up to six times more frequently than standard Class B AIS—up to every 5 seconds based on vessel speed.
With 5 Watt transmission power, the V3100 ensures greater range and improved detection by satellite AIS. The waterproof IP67-rated black box integrates seamlessly with B&G or Simrad multifunction displays and is compatible with NMEA 2000®, dual NMEA 0183® and USB output. It also includes an SD card slot for AIS data logging and the GPS-500 external antenna.
